To educate agents on the history and risk of private equity (PE) in the Independent Agent system and insurance industry. Agents will learn about PE’s impact on agency operations, E&O risks, valuations, M&A activity, and what the entrance of PE into the IA system means for their agencies and the future of the system. It will highlight the risks that come with PE for policyholders, local communities and insurance carriers.
